MONETARY DONATIONS

We are always grateful for any monetary donation we receive, no matter how little it may seem, to fund our various projects. Approximately 104 million children around the world do not go to grade school because their parents cannot afford school fees, books or uniforms for all of their children.    A  large percent of these children come from Kenya because Kenya’s education system is under funded and does little to cater to the millions of poverty-striken students.

While efforts have been made by missionaries to educate the under privileged, few children get the most basic amenities, and many still do not even acquire that privilege. These under privileged children will become a generation that is a burden to society; however, a generation with an education will lift the burdens of their country. Education of Kenya’s youth is a key to the success of Kenya’s development. Our efforts are geared towards providing these children with some of the most basic amenities such food clothing and shelter. For as little as $1 a day, you can greatly impact a child’s life in Subukia, one of Kenya’s poorest areas. Make a difference today, and develop a heartwarming relationship with a needy child through financial gifts and letters of encouragement.

OTHER WAYS YOU COULD DONATE

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Operation Saidia Watoto Inc. We are pleased to accept volunteers who can help us with fundraising strategies, donating your funds, raising awareness, publishing and distributing newsletters, brochures, and blogging. There are many ways to help battle the extreme poverty in this area of Kenya. Here are some ways you can make a difference in the life of a destitute child in Kenya and let them know they are not forgotten.

Bowling Nights

Plan a fun night of bowling at your local lanes. Ask the owner to waive the cost of bowling and you can turn that money into donations.

Cycling Event

Organize a bike ride or an indoor spinning event. Local bike shops will often help put on and support a bike ride. Some gyms will hold Spinning Marathons or set up spinning bikes in a mall and let the donors come to you as they shop.
